INVESTING IN THE WORKFORCE The Catawba Workforce Investment System partners with the region's four economic development entities to address the workforce development needs of the existing businesses and industries and prospect companies considering the Catawba Region as a location for operations. This sharing of information, regional statistics, and other decision-making resources assists the Catawba Workforce Investment Board with the development of a strategy focused plan that addresses both short and long term skill needs of the regional workforce. It is critical that economic and workforce development work hand-in-hand to prepare the workforce for an ever-changing economic landscape. The Catawba Region has positioned itself to meet these challenges and is committed to the development of the area's workforce and meeting the employment needs of the business / industry community. Whether it is working with companies and job seekers interested in On-the-Job Training, or helping companies to remain competitive through the use of Incumbent Worker Training Grants, or assisting dislocated workers to retool themselves, the Catawba Regional Workforce System has program and services designed to help you achieve your goals.
